Cummins in medium-duty and chassis-cab trucks

The 6.7 Cummins also works in Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs, and the B6.7 appears in medium-duty trucks such as the Freightliner M2 106.

Duty cycle decides the schedule

Work trucks idle, run PTOs, haul heavy and make short hops. Cummins and truck makers set maintenance by duty cycle, so find which schedule your truck falls under and stick to it.

Ram 4500 and 5500

Cummins notes the 2019 chassis-cab 6.7 uses hydraulic lash adjusters. Dodge Off Road lists parts for Ram 4500 and 5500 as well as 3500 pickups.

Records and fleets

Keep a log of every service, fluid and filter. It helps warranty claims, resale and spotting trouble early.
