What it is
Nissan launched the Cummins 5.0 V8 in the 2016 Titan XD and dropped the diesel after 2019. It is a different engine from the inline-six in Ram trucks, so Ram parts and advice do not carry over to the engine.
Maintenance
Buying one used
With only four model years, dealer and parts support matters. Get the service history, check open recalls by VIN at NHTSA, and have a diesel shop that knows the engine inspect it. See the used checklist.
Towing
Use the ratings on the door-jamb labels and in the Nissan towing guide. Air bags and helper springs do not raise them. See towing setups.
